'Brought tears to my mum's eyes'....
A Liverpool pub is doing its bit for the community during lockdown by giving away free food to the most vulnerable - and it's been a huge success with customers. Unable to open to customers due to the lockdown restrictions, the family who run the pub have decided to do their bit to help people in need at this difficult time. Twice a week, The Edge at Joey Orr’s in Walton is offering the free pub grub to the elderly and most vulnerable in the nearby area. Every Friday, people in the local community are getting dishes like fish and chips and sausage and mash, delivered to their door, while on Sundays staff at the pub have been plating up free roast dinners. The pub remains closed, but customers are asked to nominate someone who they think deserves a free meal, via messenger on The Edge at Joey Orr's Facebook page.
